Held in Antwerp, Belgium, on 18 June 2007, the 1st SEE Investment Committee Working Group on Investment Promotion saw participants discuss the concept of FDI-SME linkages and the role of the working group in the Investment Compact/World Bank 'Strengthening Sector Specific Sources of Competitiveness in the Western Balkans' project.

Investment Compact opens new office in Zagreb

On 04 July 2007, the Investment Compact opened a new office in Zagreb, Croatia. The office is supported by the Austrian Development Agency (ADA) and is housed in the Ministry of Economy, Labour and Entrepreneurship of the Republic of Croatia.

EC-OECD Project on Entrepreneurship and Enterprise Development in Western Balkans: Implementation of European Charter for Small Enterprises, 22 May 2006, Brussels, Belgium

On 22 May the National Co-ordinators of the European Charter for Small Enterprises in Western Balkans countries met in Brussels to agree on the methodology of the SME Policy Index evaluation and the calendar of events for the next six months.
