EC-OECD Project on Entrepreneurship and Enterprise Development in Western Balkans: Implementation of European Charter for Small Enterprises

On 22 May the National Co-ordinators of the European Charter for Small Enterprises in Western Balkans countries met in Brussels to agree on  the methodology of the SME Policy Index evaluation and the calendar of events for the next six months.  The SME Policy Index will be used to monitor the implementation of the European Charter for Small Enterprises. The next steps of this project involve: a self-evaluation of SME policy by the SEE governments, an independent evaluation by the OECD Investment Compact, bilateral meetings with the SEE countries to discuss the status of Charter implementation (September/October 2006) and a comprehensive evaluation report to be published by the end of November 2006.
