Aid Statistics
About Statistics Publications & Documents Information by Country

The DAC publishes statistics and reports (www.oecd.org/dac/stats) on aid and other resource flows. These statistics concern developing countries and countries in transition and related matters, based principally on reporting by DAC members. The Working Party on Statistics brings international aid statisticians together to look at how statistics can respond to the key issues in development.

Maintaining aid commitments in a global crisis

To help ensure that the financial crisis does not create a development crisis, DAC donors have joined in an Aid Pledge – initiated by OECD - reaffirming the aid commitments they made at Gleneagles and elsewhere and agreeing to maintain aid flows consistent with them.

Aid targets slipping out of reach?

Aid continued to increase in 2007, once exceptional debt relief is excluded from the figures. But the increase was only 2% on 2006. This is much too slow if donors are to meet their commitments to increase aid by 2010.

Debt Relief is down: Other ODA rises slightly

Development aid in 2007 indicates that the 22 member countries of the OECD Development Assistance Committee, the world’s major donors, provided USD 103.7 billion in aid in 2007.
